Captain V's in awe of the Galactic Federation scout ship Nebula Whisperer had seen more strange things than most beings could imagine during his 400 years of exploring space. Living, gas clouds that spoke through colors, and even that bizarre station near the Andromeda galaxy, where everyone walked backward and only spoke in rhymes, but nothing in his long life had ever prepared him for the readings he was staring at now. Again, loomy, this can't be right," V said, all three of his eyes blinking rapidly, a sure sign of stress among the Trillion. When it's don't just vanish, loomy, V snapped his crimson scales rising, especially not a planet that was there yesterday, and definitely not one that holds one of the most irritating yet oddly endearing species in the galaxy. Yet Admiral V's in or state at his post, growing old and eccentric, his crimson scales fading to pale pink.

James said it is usual corner table, quietly eating his protein rations while studying star charts on his data pad. Heard their hear on some exchange program, James said casually, returning to his charts. James finally sat down his fork and looked directly at Crickstall. All four arms extended to pin James to his chair while his mandibles aimed for a lethal strike. Instead his free hand moved with calm precision, catching Crickstall's primary right arm and twisting it with minimal effort.

Captain Jack Harrison stood straight, doing his best to look confident even though deep inside he felt small among these powerful beings. His blue earth defense fleet uniform looked plain and new compared to the ornate robes, glowing armor, and shimmering scales of the other delegates. We may be new to the stars, Jack continued, but humanity has much to share, our art, our science and our perspective on life. What Jack didn't realize was that among the Vicari, spitting wasn't just rude, it was a formal declaration of war. What he didn't know was that the Vicari had just dragged humanity into a war they could never imagine, and one they would soon regret starting.
